ESS Employment are looking to recruit a Reception and Purchasing Assistant to work with our client ton a fixed term contract until April 2022. Although this is a fixed term contract there may be an opportunity of a permanent placement depending on future recruitment needs. Own transport essential due to location.

LOCATION: Stroud

HOURS: 08.30 – 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.30 – 14.00 Friday

START DATE: Immediate Start

PAY:  £10.78ph

Job: Reception and Purchasing Assistant


ESS Employment are looking to recruit a Reception and Purchasing Assistant to work with our client ton a fixed term contract until April 2022. Although this is a fixed term contract there may be an opportunity of a permanent placement depending on future recruitment needs. Own transport essential due to location.


Duties

1. Inputting orders, sending purchase orders to suppliers and chasing for acknowledgments and delivery dates.

2. Dealing with shortages within the manufacturing process.

3. Invoice / purchase order matching & filing.

4. Communicating with suppliers.

5. Liaison with stores.

6. Progressing (status of orders).

7. Generation & implementation of GRNs.

8. Providing main switchboard telephone support as and when required.

9. Responsible for the Reception area, meeting and greeting visitors and directing suppliers and vendors.

10. Receive and handle all incoming calls to the main switchboard.

11. Receive and allocate all incoming post and other deliveries at Reception.

12. Book and coordinate travel, accommodation and hospitality for visitors to the company.

13. Maintain office stationery, working with the purchasing team on ordering supplies.

14. Provide administrative support to the Business Development team as and when required

15. Other duties as and when required.

 

Experience and skills

1. Experience of office-based administration

2. Previous purchasing administration experience would be an advantage but not essential

3. Good interpersonal skills

4. Ability to manage their own workload whilst meeting deadlines.

5. Email, telephone and MS office skills are essential.

6. Previous experience in a receptionist role.

7. Previous office administration experience.

8. Good verbal and written communication skills.

9. Good interpersonal skills.

10. Ability to handle, respond and resolve telephone enquiries in a professional manner.

11. Good computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office software, CRM systems and MRP/ERP systems.

12. Good organisation skills, with the ability to manage various deadlines and duties.

13. Be able to work independently but also be a team player.
